این آیسی از تکنولوژی CMOS می باشد و محدودۀ ولتاژ کاری آنها از ۳ تا ۱۵ ولت است.
هر دو آیسی ۱۸ پایه هستند و می توانند تا حداکثر ۱۲ پایه و حداقل ۶ پایه برای آدرس داشته باشند.
پایه های آدرس می توانند در سه حالت ۱: زمین ۲: مثبت ۳: NC قرار گیرند.
برای اینکه فرستنده و گیرنده کار بکنند باید آدرس فرستنده و گیرنده یکی باشد.

در آیسی PT2272-L4 خروجی ها ۴ بیتی می باشد. در نوع L4 دیتای خروجی تا برقراری ارتباط بعدی دیتا در پایه های مربوط باقی خواهند ماند.

DESCRIPTION
PT2272 is a remote control decoder paired with PT2262 utilizing CMOS Technology. It has 12-bit of tri-state address pins providing a maximum of 531,441 (or 312) address codes; thereby, drastically reducing any code collision and unauthorized code scanning possibilities. PT2272 is available in several options to suit every application need: variable number of data output pins, latch or momentary output type.
